What cookies and local storage are
Cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) are small pieces of data saved on your device by a website or app. They let a service remember things between visits — for example, that you're signed in.
What we use
Essential (always on)
- Authentication / session — when you sign in, we store a secure session token (via our authentication provider) in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in and don't have to request a new link on every page. Without this the app can't keep you signed in.
- Core app preferences — small items needed for the app to function, such as remembering you've passed the legal gate.
Functional
- Display settings — for example your detected local timezone, kept so event times show correctly. This stays on your device.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we don't sell data to or share identifiers with ad networks.
Third-party storage
Some features rely on third-party providers that may set their own storage when their components load — for example our authentication and hosting providers (Supabase, Vercel), our subscription provider, and embedded charting widgets. These are used to deliver the functionality you've asked for, not to profile you across other websites.
Managing cookies and storage
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser or device settings, and you can block them — but note that if you remove our essential session storage, you'll be signed out and parts of the app may stop working. Signing out within the app also clears your local session.
Changes
If we change how we use cookies or local storage, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For more on how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
